In the past fifty years, the world has seen remarkable progress in advancing the rights of sexual and gender minorities. However, a persistent and profound challenge remains: religiously rooted prejudices that manifest as homophobia and transphobia. These beliefs, deeply entrenched in religious traditions, continue to undermine the strides made by the LGBTQ+ community. While many organizations advocate for the rights of these minorities, few address the religious dimensions that fuel anti-LGBTQ+ sentiment across the globe. This is where DevOUT steps in.

Our mission has two core objectives: to provide healing and a reclaimed spiritual path for queer individuals, especially millennials and Gen Z, who have been wounded by religious trauma, and to equip allies, parents, policymakers, and faith leaders with practical tools to challenge and counteract homophobia and transphobia in their communities.
