Reclaiming the Bible, our Faith, and Our Place at the Table
Who We Are
DevOUT is a progressive Christian nonprofit founded by Rev. Brandan Robertson, rooted in an intersectional vision of justice. We create spaces for LGBTQ+ people of faith to heal, grow, and make an impact in their communities, and we’ve hosted more than 100 events, lectures, and retreats around the world. We also challenge far-right religious narratives in digital and traditional media, using social media, podcasts, documentaries, books, and digital campaigns to amplify a faith that is progressive and inclusive.
Our Work
-
Content Creation
DevOUT creates compelling educational content, including social media, online courses, books, and podcasts, to equip and empower queer people of faith and our allies to challenge toxic theology and spiritual practices.
-
Consulting and Public Events
DevOUT hosts retreats and events where LGBTQ+ people of faith can heal, grow spiritually, and make an impact in their communities. We also partner with churches and organizations exploring greater inclusion through consulting, workshops, and keynotes. To date, we’ve held more than 100 events, lectures, and retreats around the world.
-
Media Engagement
DevOUT brings progressive, inclusive religious voices into national and international media, challenging the far-right voices that dominate the conversation and helping shift hearts and minds.
We Need Your Support
Conservative Christians are promoting their theology of exclusion with a renewed vigor. DevOUT is stepping in to counter their narrative and reclaim the gospel as a message of inclusion, transformation, and hope for all people. Help us reclaim the Bible, our faith, and our place at the table with your tax-deductible donation. Thank you for your support.
